As a kid, one of the things we often looked forward to was recess. Running around and hanging on the monkey bars.
Well, the playground at one local school needed a pick me up, and the community stepped in to help.
Volunteers paticipated in A one day Build-a-Thon to create a new playground at the Innovations International Charter School.
The group Kaboom helped the school and the kids to make it happen by adding a sense of humor with their special building project.
One of the coordinators of the project is excited about seeing it from start to finish.
"If you go to school they usually have a playground already made. Kaboom Project Manager Amy Whittaker tells When you see them build it kind of amzing how they do it and everything."
The concrete on the park took 3-days to dry. Cards will be given to all of the sponsors and volounteers who helped create the playground.
