Locals Can Try Hitting 100 MPH Fastball

For many local ball players, the season begins at On Deck Baseball Academy. To steal a line from the movie Field of Dreams, "This is where dreams are made," mainly because we don't have any corn fields here, so On Deck Baseball Academy might be the closest thing.

No red lights and a pitching arm on this pro-batter pitching simulator. It's real time, real video and realistic. The simulator can throw at any speed, like a 98 mile per hour fastball right down the middle.

If practice makes perfect, this may be the perfect place. In real life, Andy Concepcion brokers deals on private planes -- that's his job. This one is a lot more fun.
