
Two Democratic presidential candidates made campaign stops in Las Vegas Friday.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois met with Culinary Union members in the morning and then speak to the National Association of Black Journalists in the afternoon. These events were not open to the public, however, the public was invited to attend a free town hall meeting at 3 p.m. at Rancho High School, 1900 E. Searles Ave.
Sen. Hillary Clinton addressed both of those groups on Thursday during her visit.
Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina addressed members of the Laborers International Union. The public was invited. The event was held at the Union hall at 4201 E. Bonanza Road in the afternoon. Edwards then met with the Culinary Union at a rally held early Friday evening.

Republican candidates are also visiting the Silver State. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will be in Elko on Monday, Aug. 13 and Rep. Duncan Hunter of California will be at several campaign events in Las Vegas on the following day, Tuesday.
Clinton will also be back in Nevada next week for an event in Pahrump.
