It was supposed to be one of the luckiest days for couples wanting to tie the knot. But July 7, 2007 turned out to be the exact opposite for some couples who planned to wed at a local chapel.
Locals Angela Williams and Paul Mejia had their cake and wedding attire. Their family was in town and they were all set to wed. They had booked three weeks in advance with the Garden of Love Chapel. A limo was supposed to pick them up on Saturday and take them to Mt. Charleston for their wedding but it never showed up. The couple and their family drove down to the Garden of Love Chapel and what they found was chaos.
Staff at the Garden of Love Chapel say there was confusion with the booking. However, they did offer to refund Williams her money. It was a tough day for the chapel, not only were there clerical errors, three limo drivers suffered from heat exhaustion.
Williams says she does plan to sue the Garden of Love.
