A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs-McDonald. Boggs-McDonald is being charged with four felonies related to her unsuccessful re-election bid in 2006.

The charges filed in Las Vegas Justice Court late Monday include one count of "falsely claiming that she actually lived at 6386 Gray's River Court, one count of "falsely listed payments" and two counts of perjury.

The charges stem from the highly publicized videotape used against the commissioner during her re-election campaign last year. It shows her taking out the trash -- in her bathrobe -- at a home that is outside of her District F commission area.

The law requires commissioners to live in their districts and she listed a different address on her official campaign candidacy document with the Clark County Election Department.

Boggs-McDonald is also charged with listing more than $1,200 in babysitting expenses and charging them to her campaign account. Prosecutors say those charges showed up on official campaign reports as "expenses related to special events" when, in reality, they were for personal purposes.

Boggs-McDonald first served on the Las Vegas City Council and was appointed to the Clark County Commission in April of 2004, but won election in her own right in November of 2004.

She lost her re-election bid in November of 2006 to former school board member Susan Brager.

District Attorney David Roger says Boggs-McDonald is out of the country but has agreed to turn herself in upon her return.

The I-Team did put in a call to Boggs-McDonald's attorney, Bill Terry, who has not yet replied to a request for comment.
