Police Say Sexual Assault, Kidnapping Suspect Killed Himself

A police standoff in North Las Vegas is over and the suspect is dead.  Police say it appears the suspect took his own life after police surrounded the house in which he was hiding.

Police say the incident started around 4 a.m. this morning when a woman, with her hands tied behind her back, told police she had been kidnapped on Tuesday afternoon from her business, held against her will and sexually assaulted.

She told police her attacker dumped her in the desert and stole a company vehicle.

Through GPS tracking, police say they were able to locate the vehicle and begin tracking down the suspect.  This caused police to close several roads in the area of north Decatur and Gowan on Wednesday morning.

The suspect did run from police and and hid in a home on Roskott Circle where it appears he ended his life.
