(Dec. 8) -- The most famous grilled cheese sandwich in the world will be on display in Las Vegas this afternoon. The sandwich, which the owner says depicts a likeness to the Virgin Mary, will be on display outside of the Hard Rock Cafe through Friday afternoon.
Diana Duyser, the woman who created the sandwich, will also be there. Duyser and her husband will talk about the luck the sandwich has brought them since it was cooked ten years ago. They also plan to renew their wedding vows today.
(Dec. 2) -- The cheese sandwich that some people claim has the image of the Virgin Mary on it will be in Las Vegas Friday. The 10-year-old sandwich was sold on eBay last month for $28,000.
Florida's Golden Palace online casino bought the sandwich and is now taking it on tour.
It is expected to be on display on Saturday. At this point, Eyewitness News does not know exactly where you'll be able to see the legendary sandwich.
(Nov. 17) -- The grilled cheese sandwich bearing the likeness of the Virgin Mary is back on ebay. A woman says she made the sandwich ten years ago. And after taking a bite, she says she noticed the likeness of the Virgin Mary and saved the sandwich.
Ebay took the item off its auction site Sunday night thinking it was a joke. But the woman says the sandwich is no joke and bidding started again Tuesday.
Bidding is now up to $70,000 for the half-eaten sandwich, which is up for grabs until Monday.
