Bar Codes to be Replaced With New Chips No Bigger Than The Head of an Ant
A new technology will soon appear on store shelves.  It's called RFID or Radio Frequency Identification.  It's already used at tollbooths and public transportation.  The chips for the new technology are no bigger than the head of an ant.  They're being placed on everything from clothing to cereal.  The system allows store managers to better track merchandise.  But experts say it could be years before you see the end of barcodes. Some privacy groups are concerned that new technology will not only make it easier to keep track of products but that it could be used to keep track of people's buying habits and what they do with the things they do buy.

Weird-Website-of-the-Week: SaveSurge.Org
This week’s weird website is odd because of its passion for a type of pop. At SaveSurge.org you'll be able to work to save surge soda.  The pop was introduced in 19-97 but has been declining in popularity.  At the site you can sign a petition to save the soda, find where to send letters, even given testimonials about the impact the pop has had on your life.
