Treasure Island Pirate Show Folds On Las Vegas Strip

(July 7) -- "Ahoy, matey." Got a job for an out-of-work buccaneer?

The Treasure Island hotel-casino's pyrotechnic pirate show on the Las Vegas Strip is no more.

The final show was last night -- ending a ten-year run that officials guess had been seen by 4.5 million sidewalk viewers.

The hotel is recasting itself as "T-I" and adding some spice with a new adult-themed show with sexy women battling renegade pirates on the ship-board stage out front.

It's due to debut in October -- and will be called the "Sirens of T-I."

Hotel officials say the change reflects a shift in focus at the 3,000-room hotel.

They're aiming to commandeer a more hip -- and single -- customer than the families it had been trying to attract.

Oh -- and even after 1,600 shows -- the British never did win.
