Las Vegas Police Seize Marijuana Plants From Valley Home

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police investigators raided a home on Friday and confiscated more than 200 marijuana plants.

The home is located near Silverado Ranch and Spencer. Investigators say the street value of the marijuana is nearly half a million dollars. Most of the 2,000 square foot home was used to grow the plants. All of the plants are fully mature and stand five to six feet tall.

Some neighbors say the raid surprised them. "We've been watching the whole thing all afternoon, them bringing all the stuff," said neighbor Pamela McCartney. "(We were) oblivious to the whole thing."

Authorities are still investigating. They have not made any arrests, but they say warrants could be issued in the near future.
