
The 15th Annual Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure will be held on May 1, 2010 in historic downtown Las Vegas.
With approximately 18,000 participants expected, Race for the Cure is the area's largest fundraiser for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Event officials' goal for this year's event is $1 Million dollars. Seventy-five percent of the funds raised by the Race, and all other Komen events, stay right here in Southern Nevada to support programs that serve the uninsured and underinsured in the fight breast cancer. The remaining 25% is directed to the Susan G. Komen Awards & Grants Research Program to find the cures.

5K Timed Run - 8:15am
5K Walk - 8:20am
1 Mile Fun Walk - 8:45am
The 2010 Komen Las Vegas Race For The Cure has launched their online registration and fundraising for Southern Nevada's largest annual 5K foot race in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition, Komen has also unveiled it's first text-message fundraising campaign. The campaign encourages Southern Nevadans to "text for the cure" by sending a message through their wireless device or computer to benefit the Southern Nevada Affiliate. With each text donation, $10 will be donated to Komen Southern Nevada which proudly serves Clark, Nye, Lincoln, Esmeralda, White Pine, and Mineral counties. The instructions are simple - users text the word RACE to the number 50555 to make a $10 donation. Be sure to reply with YES to make your donation count!
