Chrissy Mazzeo in 2006.LAS VEGAS -- Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons was questioned in a federal courtroom Friday.
A federal judge allowed a lawyer for former cocktail waitress Chrissy Mazzeo to question Gibbons under oath in a civil suit.
Mazzeo is accusing the governor of assaulting her after a night of drinking at Las Vegas restaurant in 2006. The civil suit alleges the governor orchestrated a cover up after an investigation revealed there wasn't enough evidence to criminally charge Gibbons. The alleged incident occurred shortly before his election in Nov. 2006.
Part of the questioning Friday focused on alleged extramarital affairs involving Governor Gibbons and other women. On Sunday, the I-Team's George Knapp will unveil testimony from a surprise witness who says she saw evidence of the affairs with her own eyes.
